Mobile Shop Software for Pakistan

Gadgets POS is a cloud POS system and mobile shop software that you open in a web browser. Set your business to PKR and prices, receipts and reports use it. Track phones by IMEI, run repairs and trade-ins, and keep credit customers on a ledger. Electronics stores and clothing stores can use the same system. The screens are in English, and the limits are listed on this page.

Mobile shop software in Pakistan: what it covers

A mobile shop sells handsets, accessories and repairs from one counter, and most of the stock is one of a kind: each phone has its own IMEI and its own purchase cost. Gadgets POS is built around that. You sign in from a web browser on the counter computer, and your data is held in the cloud rather than on one machine. There is also a desktop app for your till, which opens your cloud account in its own window. Both need an internet connection, because there is no offline selling mode.

This page is for shops in Pakistan, and it says plainly what the software does and does not do there. It is written for mobile shops first, then electronics stores and clothing stores. For the full picture of the till, read the POS system for mobile phone shops page, which this one builds on.

Prices and receipts in PKR

Each business chooses its own currency in Business Settings, and Pakistani rupees (PKR) is one of the supported choices. Once it is set, prices, totals, reports and receipts at the till show a PKR prefix before the amount. The online shop is separate and is in pounds sterling only, as explained below. Receipts print on thermal printers at 58, 72 or 80 mm, or on A4, and can be emailed to the customer.

Tax is a setting you control. Switch it on if you charge it, give it the name you use, define your own rates, and choose for each rate whether it is added on top of the price or already included in it. Tax applies to products marked new only; used and refurbished products are left tax-free at the till. It is a tax setting, not a local tax system, and the limits below say what is missing.

IMEI stock for new and used phones

Each phone is held as its own unit with its IMEI or serial number. You choose, product by product, whether an item is serialised, so a charger is counted and a handset is tracked. Scan the IMEI at the till and the unit goes on the order. If the same unit is already in another open cart anywhere in your business, the system refuses it, so one phone is not sold twice.

Condition is recorded on the product, from Brand New and Refurbished to graded used conditions such as Like New, Good and Fair. Stock is costed first in, first out, and stock records are never deleted: quantities change only through a sale, a purchase, a return, a trade-in or a recorded adjustment. IMEI barcode labels print on Zebra and DYMO label printers. See IMEI inventory software for the detail.

If you need to record whether a handset is PTA approved, you can add your own field to a product and fill it in yourself. Gadgets POS does not check a handset against PTA records or any blacklist.

Credit customers and ledgers

If you sell on account, each customer can have a credit limit and a running balance. Payments are received against the balance, the ledger lists every order and payment, and a customer who pays part of a bill carries the rest forward. These are partial payments on an account, not instalment plans with a schedule.

A Customer Activity report shows who has ordered, who has paid, who is active and who has gone quiet, with balances, and it exports to CSV. Suppliers have their own ledger and balance too, with payments recorded against a purchase order or on account. See purchase order software.

Repairs and trade-ins

A repair is booked on the same order as a sale, with a technician, a priority, the IMEI or serial number and an expected collection date. Parts come from a separate lab stock and are deducted when attached to the job, and each job shows its cost and profit. See phone repair shop software.

A customer's old handset can be valued at the till and taken off what they owe, and its IMEI becomes a unit in your stock. The value you offer is your own decision, because there is no automatic market-price feed. See trade-in software.

CNIC on customer records

A customer record has an identity section. Choose CNIC, passport, driving licence or other, enter the number and, if your staff role allows it, attach photos of the front and back of the document. Only collect what you need and are entitled to keep.

Gadgets POS stores what you enter. It does not verify a CNIC or check it against any database.

Electronics stores

Electronics stores can use the same till and stock. Accessories are counted and scanned by barcode, while laptops, tablets, consoles and other items with a serial number can be tracked unit by unit. Labels, split payments across cash, card, bank transfer and gift card, returns and replacements all work the same way.

The detail is on the POS system for gadget and electronics shops page, and computer sellers can read about POS for computer and laptop shops.

Clothing and apparel stores

Gadgets POS was built for phone and gadget shops first, and clothing stores are a newer use that we are still improving. The parts that carry over are real. You create your own attributes and terms, such as Size and Colour, and a product is sold as variations built from them, each variation with its own barcode and its own stock count.

Fields that only make sense for devices, such as IMEI or serial number, condition, RAM, storage, processor and battery health, can be hidden through role settings. Scan-first checkout, barcode labels, returns and replacements on the same order, gift cards, vouchers, loyalty points and several shops under one login work as they do for a phone shop.

Sell online from the same stock

If you want a website, Gadgets POS includes a branded web shop. The Buy section sells the same products and stock as your till, and the optional Sell and Repair sections take trade-in quotes and repair bookings. Our team sets it up with you on your own domain. See POS with an online shop.

The online shop shows prices and takes payment in pounds sterling only. It does not show or charge PKR, so it suits a business that sells online in pounds. PKR applies to the till, receipts and reports.

What is not built yet: Urdu, FBR invoicing, instalments, offline and a PKR online shop

So you can decide before you spend time on a demo, here is what Gadgets POS does not do for a shop in Pakistan today.

What Gadgets POS does not do

  • There is no Urdu interface. The screens, receipts and emails are in English.

  • It does not connect to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) or any tax authority. There is no tax-authority invoicing, e-invoicing or tax filing. If your business must report sales that way, check before you choose a POS.

  • Tax applies to products marked new only, and used and refurbished products are left tax-free at the till. Ask your accountant how tax applies to what you sell.

  • There are no instalment plans. Credit accounts take partial payments against a running balance, recorded by your staff.

  • There is no offline selling mode, so the till needs an internet connection.

  • The online shop (Buy, Sell and Repair) shows prices and takes payment in pounds sterling only. It does not show or charge PKR. PKR applies to the till, receipts and reports.

  • No Pakistani payment services are built in. Online card payments on your web shop run through Stripe, Square, PayPal or myPOS, in pounds sterling, with cash on delivery as another option, so check that one of them is open to you.

  • It does not check IMEIs against PTA records, blacklists or carrier locks.

Questions about using Gadgets POS in Pakistan

Does Gadgets POS support PKR?

Yes, at the till. Each business chooses its currency in Business Settings, and Pakistani rupees (PKR) is one of the options. Prices, totals, reports and receipts then show a PKR prefix before the amount. The online shop is the exception: it shows prices and takes payment in pounds sterling only, not PKR. The default is pounds, so set PKR in Business Settings before you start selling. Tax uses the name and rate you choose.

Is there an Urdu interface?

No. The screens, receipts and emails are in English only, and there is no Urdu version today. If your staff need Urdu screens, Gadgets POS is not the right choice yet. You can see the screens before you decide: ask for a demo, or for the 15-day free trial, using the contact form.

Does it support FBR invoicing?

No. Gadgets POS does not connect to the Federal Board of Revenue and has no e-invoicing or tax filing. You can set a tax name and rate, print a tax number on receipts and see a tax breakdown in reports. If your business must report invoices through an integrated POS, check that first.

Can customers pay in instalments?

Not on a schedule. A customer can have a credit account with a limit and a running balance, and can pay part of what they owe at a time, with a ledger showing every order and payment. There are no instalment plans, due dates or instalment reminders, and your staff record each payment as it is made.

Can electronics and clothing stores use it, or only mobile shops?

Electronics stores can use it as it is. Clothing stores can sell products as size and colour variations, each with its own barcode and stock, and hide phone-only fields such as IMEI. It was built for phone shops first, and we are still improving the fit for clothing, so tell us how you sell and we will show you what works today.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, there is a 15-day free trial. Tell us about your shop on the contact page and we will set up a trial or a live demo with you, using your currency and your products. You can try the till, stock, repairs and trade-ins before you decide anything.
